• A provider in our network gets in touch.
• You talk through symptoms, timing and next steps.
• The provider gives an estimate, often after a visit.
• You decide whether to go ahead.

What to Ask an Independent Provider

Keep a short list handy. It makes comparing much easier.

• Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
• Is this a repair or a replacement, and why?
• Are parts and labor priced separately?
• Is there a trip or diagnostic charge?
• What licensing and insurance does your business carry?
• How long will the job take?

Write the answers down. Ask a second provider the same questions. Compare, then decide.

Do Your Own Safe Checks First

You can save a visit sometimes. Check the thermostat mode and batteries. Swap out a dirty filter. Look at the breaker. Clear leaves and debris from around the outdoor unit. Then stop. Anything involving gas, wiring or refrigerant belongs to a pro.

You Are in Control
